AI Tutor, Homework Helper, or Guidance Counselor: Where to Start

Start with the question in front of you

“I need help with school” can mean several different things. You might be stuck on a concept, unsure where an assignment went wrong, or trying to decide what to study next. BeastEducation separates those needs so you can begin with the kind of help that fits the problem.

AI Tutor and Homework Helper are two kinds of support in the same Riley Chen workspace, labeled “AI Tutor & Homework Helper.” Guidance Counselor is a separate professional for education and career direction. You do not need a complete plan before asking a question. A clear description of what you are trying to do gives the conversation a useful starting point.

When you want to understand a concept

Start with the AI Tutor when the lesson itself is unclear. Riley Chen, BeastEducation’s Tutor, can explain concepts, review an attempt, and create practice. For example, you might say, “I can follow this worked example, but I do not understand why the fractions need a common denominator.” That identifies the gap more clearly than asking for the answer alone.

Ask for an explanation, then try a fresh example yourself. If the next attempt still breaks down, show where you got stuck. The purpose of the exchange is to help you work through the reasoning. A confident response from AI is still something to compare with your course materials and teacher’s instructions.

When you have an assignment to work through

Use that same Tutor and Homework Helper workspace when you have a specific assignment and an attempt to review. Bring the question, the relevant instructions, and the steps you already tried. “Here is where I changed the sign—was that step valid?” gives Riley something concrete to inspect.

The guided approach focuses on the first supported mistake and the reasoning needed to correct it. If an image is unclear, provide a clearer view or type the relevant part. Help with an assignment does not mean that the work has been officially graded, submitted, or accepted by your school. Follow your class rules for permitted assistance.

When the decision is about direction

Start with Guidance Counselor when your question concerns the larger plan: what to learn, which prerequisites to investigate, or how a course might fit your goals and available time. For example, “I want to build spreadsheet skills, but I can study only two evenings a week” gives the counselor a goal and a real constraint.

The counselor can help organize options and explain tradeoffs. Requirements that depend on a school, employer, or credentialing organization still need confirmation from that organization. The decision stays with you; guidance does not promise admission, certification, grades, or employment.

Bring one useful starting point
